Antony Oakley

The Revd Antony Oakley has been a Methodist Minister since 1995. He grew up in France and attended Kingswood School in Bath; completed a one year course at Cliff College and went on to do a degree in Modern Languages at Wolverhampton Polytechnic. During his training he completed a Masters in Pastoral Theology at Cardiff University.

He trained for the ministry from 1992 to 1995 at Wesley College, Bristol; worked in Yeovil in Somerset; the Isle of Wight and Nottingham before arriving in Morpeth in 2017. Currently he has pastoral responsibility for Morpeth Methodist Church and St. Margaret’s Chapel in Pegswood.

He has been married to Pam since 1990 and they have three grown up  children. He enjoys getting his hands on all the latest gadgets and technology and exploring the wonderful county of Northumberland on foot. He longs to see the church equipped and ready to face the challenges presented to it by the changes in society in order to better share the Good News of Jesus relevantly with all.
