Churches Acting Together - February Newsletter

Welcome to our Spring newsletter with news and updates from North East Churches Acting Together.
In the newsletter you will find an invitation to everyone, but especially to members of Churches Together groups around the region, to an afternoon with the General Secretary of Churches Together in England.  The way we work ecumenically is changing and there are new initiatives and ideas, Paul will share some of his vision for the future as well as allowing time for discussion and sharing of news.

NECAT  held  our Annual General Meeting in December and you can find a copy of the Annual Report that was approved and accepted at the meeting, as well as information about forthcoming events here

Since my last newsletter we have had a General Election and have left the European Union and have entered the transition stage.  I know that many of our communities feel  divided, there are those that are delighted with where we are and those that are struggling and we have seen a rise in hate crime.  As churches working together things aren't always perfect but I would hope we are trying to model a way of acting and praying together, respecting  one another and celebrating our differences as well as what we have in common.

As Lent approaches I hope that the many planned ecumenical study groups go well.  If you want to feedback any examples of good courses that worked well please do so afterward and maybe we can produce some recommendations for next year.
If there is anything I can do to help and support any of the Churches Together groups drop me an email or give me a call.
